So anyways I broke my femur and had surgery, long story short I have no money now I'm supposed to be off for 6 to 8 months to recover and I truly am in my third month and if I keep staying off of work for another week even I'm royally screwed. I'm beyond broke, I've been pushing myself non stop to get better and I'm able to walk stand and just have some limitations which doesnt effect my job at all, I'm a line cook so I can perfectly do the job without any problems.
Now my only thing I wouldn't be able to do is lifting over 50 pounds or phsyical labour job like construction framing or other heavy set jobs. My doctor is well aware I'm going back to work it's not a problem at all whatsoever. So I messaged my boss desperately saying I'm ready to work now. She tells me I have to get a doctors note saying I can work. I believe this is very unreasonable as the doctors note is 35 dollars which I dont have like I need to eat I need to work I have nothing.
So now I'm stuck without a job because I cant afford the 35 dollars like I know it isn't much but like I said I bought work shoes and a tiny bit food with my last bit of money I have no way of getting 35 dollars for a stupid doctors note that I believe I dont need. I'm lost and upset. I dont want this to be my end game.
