A lady came into the ED today after a car wreck. She was on her phone as I walked up to her and I could hear the person on the other end screaming. She hung up and I asked who was yelling at her like that. Her boss. She was on her way to her fast food job when someone ran a red light and hit her. The boss was angry because 'who was going to work her shift'. At least she called in. I hope she doesn't go back.
