I’m fairly new to reddit, and I get this subreddit recommended to me, but I don’t understand the thinking behind it. Working sucks, everyone agrees, but it’s the equivalent of our ancestors hunting for there survival, only way easier and more streamlined. Plus we live in a society that protects us from most of the dangers of the natural world, which was only obtained through working. I see a lot of socialist rhetoric on this subreddit, which i agree with, but you do realize that you still have to work under socialism right? In order to help someone, you have to take away something from someone else or from somewhere else. Even through charity that applies, but your purposely giving up something in that case. And I know i’ll be called a bootlicker or just a rat in the race, but I genuinely do not understand how you think not working is possible. Someone has to work in order for you to survive, so you can either be a leech or a rat. And if you want things to be more fair in terms of pay, when is anything fair in life? Sure, if you work and a company screws you over I can see the problems in that, but thinking a ceo should be paid equivalent to a barista is bizarre to me. I do not understand how someone can think they are deserving of anything. It comes off as entitled to me. So please explain.
