Is it weird to find incompetent colleagues failing satisfying?

A few weeks ago I was upset a colleague who did not deserve a promotion received one instead of me. I was mainly upset because I ensured the department’s success for three quarters and enhanced certain processes. However, ever since my colleague took over, the department has been suffering from delays in achieving objectives. There has also been complaints from within the department by two employees as the load is not equally distributed. On top of that – I’ve started working 8 hours or less to achieve whatever is needed of me rather than staying over hours to ensure the team completed objectives, projects, pending and further requirements. Is it weird that I’m satisfied to see the department getting worse in performance by day due to poor performance of the new team leader promoted? It’s also oddly satisfying to see them running around trying to figure everything out.
