Antiwork

Technology has ruined home life.

This is not a new argument, just my personal one. I am a M-F 8-5 schedule lifer. Company provides me a cell phone that I get the “luxury” of carrying around along with my personal phone weighing down my left front side pocket all day long. When I get home I make the conscious effort to put the work phone down and try to leave it alone. Then it rings/vibrates/dings……your mind wanders and wonders as you hear it from the other room as you try to just watch Friends on HBO Max with your significant other on the couch from the other room. Now your mind is awash in what is possibly awaiting you in that next communication and you become separated from the moment and flown back into work mode. I hate this feeling.
