I posted a couple weeks ago about the CEO of my company insulting me over internal email (see post history).
After several years of empty promises, insults, and lies, I finally decided to apply to some outside roles in my industry.
I applied to 6 positions, got 5 callbacks, and 4 offers! I am accepting a role at a bigger, better company for better pay and wages! I’m so happy.
Now the fun part- I get to quit and let my managers know what I think! I live in an “at-will” employment state, so I’ve decided to notify them 24 hours before my departure.
I’m the top sales person at this company, and my departure will surely be the death-blow for the brand. They’re going to have a bunch of old, expiring product on their hands that they won’t be able to move.
Oh well, maybe this will be a lesson to treat your employees with respect!
Thanks r/antiwork! If you’re frustrated with your position, take a couple hours applying to new roles. I was shocked by how many options I had.
