So I interviewed for a Teller position at a local credit union back in May that 100% did not like me, you could tell from the get go that I didn't fit what they wanted. So I, of course, never heard anything back and I assumed (correctly) that I did not get the position. No big deal.
Fast forward to earlier this month, I get a call asking if I'm still interested in that position for that credit union- I remember the interview and cringe but hey, work is work. So I think I'm going in to discuss starting date, pay and whatnot.. only to find out when I get there that I'm interviewing. Again. With one of the same women who very clearly does not remember me.
We hit it off, and I have to note that I did nothing different. She seems to be having a grand old time and after point blank telling me all about the recent new hire (the one they hired in May lol) that they had to let go because of her medical issues and she then gets to the “do you have any questions” segment. I say no, I covered all my questions the last time I interviewed- thinking she would find it funny. She makes a face and says “I don't think you're thinking of the same bank, I feel like I would remember you. You're so outgoing and seem perfect on paper.” I won't lie- that made me blush but she basically shut the interview down after that and said “I have two more candidates to interview, I'll let you know by Wednesday next week.” And I left laughing cause like, I knew she wouldn't.
Now it's been 2 weeks, I called a few days ago to check in and she said “we're still interviewing for that position” but I think we all know how this is going to go.
God I hate looking for work.
