My job is rigorous and I spend a lot of time on prepping materials… I was officially hired a month ago in late July. Many of my coworkers will get paid next Tuesday. Meanwhile, HR fumbled and lost my paperwork AND I have to do a mandatory training that I JUST found out about today that without I can’t get paid. They also only offer this training once a week on a specific day. I probably won’t be getting paid for another two weeks. I have $11 in my bank account and bills are due next week, when I should have been paid. The incompetence of this company’s bureaucracy is mind numbing. My first check is pretty hefty after a long year of living in poverty. How do I cope? What else can I do besides just wait? My job is pretty much in person. But I’ve already planned to work from home until I am paid what I am owed.
