Today was my last day at my current job of 1.5 years before transferring to a new position at a different location within the company. I have a manager that is notoriously jealous of her staff and will retaliate if she finds out you are applying elsewhere.
It started with the denying me time off, passive aggressive things, and today she pulled me into the office to try and get a written statement from me to admit to something I didn’t do. I refused. Later, before I left my shift, she pulled me in the office with another supervisor to pressure me into agreeing to sign for the same thing I didn’t do. I refused and said I did not do it. She said “Yes you did! You said it in our conversation this morning!” Since I refused/denied, the other supervisor couldn’t sign that she witnessed my statement. She said she would file the write up anyway.
My first day at my new location is Sunday, and my now former manager is known for giving out bad references and write ups right before transfer. I worry about what she could tell my new manager to get me in trouble. She called one of my former coworker’s managers up ON HER VACATION to tell them that she was a lazy worker, called out all the time, etc. I seriously think this woman would rather see me dead than transfer.
