Why even have snacks?

The office recently started stocking snacks as an attempt to make up for their push to not have anyone WFH. “Office culture” and all that. They aren't obviously the solution, but it is nice to have something to munch on throughout the day. Until all the good ones get eaten and restocked with others that people clearly don't like. I asked our office admin why they don't get more of the ones people like. “Those go too quickly. With these, they'll last longer.” So the point of the snacks is just to sit on the shelves and look nice, but not actually be something for workers to enjoy. Nice.
