I had an idea before I moved that things were different, of course I did.. but I’m finding this job search hard because I honestly never thought I’d have to sign away rights, be screened for tobacco (I know I need to quit!), and get next to zero PTO compared to my 28 days plus public holidays in the UK. I’m just struggling a bit with comprehending the culture of it all… I mean, just why? Why don’t companies value their employees’ wellbeing in the US? I’m a project manager, so any hints/tips on good organisations to look at would be grand! Frustrated is an understatement! Ta!
