Ran out of PTO, too many funerals

I get roughly 17 days of PTO a year, this includes sick time. This year has been full of way too many major life events, many of them I just had to handle outside of work but my vacation time was exclusively used on funerals, weddings, moving, and maybe a couple spontaneous “sick days” where I needed a breather to recover from burnout. I'm currently away on my most recent funeral and I expect to come back and have to basically not get paid for a day or 2 that I was out. I'm just venting honestly, I'm sick of having to hold on to PTO “just in case” and then maybe getting one week a year of planned relaxation and having everything else go to dealing with crises.
