I need some perspective: hostile work environment

I work for a very small municipal EMS agency. Maybe 50 people total. I got hired in May and things were awesome. And life happened. I got sick. My husband had psych issues. Etc etc. So I have been out sick a lot. My chief and deputy chiefs who know the story are mostly fine. Annoyed, but fine. My co workers however, have shunned me. I don’t expect a lovey dovey ‘family’. But I also don’t expect to be completely ignored at work or to feel like I’ve been judged. The department has an OT list so if someone calls out, they have to go down the list and order someone in. People are stressed. I caused more stress. I get it. But they don’t really know the whole story. If this were a job where I could work and just be like ‘f it’ and just do my part…

If this were a job where I could work and just be like ‘f it’ and just do my part of the job and go home I wouldn’t care. But it’s not.

I can’t decide if I’m over sensitive or if I’m rightfully upset.

I was going to be moving to part time but now I’m considering resigning all together.
