Can I email my resignation to the HR via my personal email ID?

Let me be clear: I work remote. And the company is in the other city. So, email is the way. I wanna do this because in future, when I resign, I wanna have a copy of the acceptance of my resignation letter. Recently, an employee resigned and used her work email. We use remote desktop connection. So, she is not signed into her work ID personally. After that, she messaged and emailed them to forward her resignation email thread (including them accepting ) to her personal ID as she wanted a copy of that. She even called HR and they never picked up. She has been requesting them for a week, until she got frustrated and forwarded the email herself from her work ID to her personal ID. All hell broke loose when the HR and IT dept got wind of it. They “terminated' her (although she was already serving her notice period for a week, and sent a mass email to all of us, stating that she was sending “office data” to her personal email.

She just wanted a copy of her resignation.

I don't wanna face that. So, I was wondering if I can send my resignation via my personal ID to have all the documentation.
