I don't know if this is full on theme with the subreddit but i think i could get advice.
So i got a job, kinda, i'm on trial then they will say if they want me or not, it's supposed to be a training, problem is, there's something very wrong here:
First thing i didn't apply for the job, they called me beause my school sent around the datas of students who graduated with more than 80. Fine but they selected 9 people out of 150 candidates, they said it was because that's the number of employes they needed.
But they picked up only people who don't know much about the job, then they started the trial period. They absoloutley avoided telling us what we will be doing.
They talked about the company, what did they do, what they do now, who are their employes and what do they sell.
At every question asked they answered with negatives ex:
Q:”what will we do here?”
A: “we are not searching for vendors nor for technicians, we want you to be in touch with people. Our clients…”
And dodged every question.
Second, they are very creepy, the people who work there and talked to us seem… like something out of an advertisement, i heard things that creeped me out like, and i quote, “tomorrow it's my birthday and i will pass it at a meeting, and i couldn't spend it better”
Like, wow. And the list goes on, a ton of motivational videos and slogans were dumped on us and everyone shared how the company made their life better.
Third, they have rituals. I know how cults work and they are doing exactly like the manual says: they talk nice, offer you free coffee, start the day by talking to you, they put on this shitty loud af music that makes me get headeaches and expect you to clap your hands and stand up.
So why didn't i tell them to fuck off? They pay good. 1000€ each month plus some bullshit bonuses about how much you sponsor the company and bring new clients. And the only other job i was able to find was a 6 months stage with 400€ at month for 40 hours er week.
I really don't know what to do because this job feels so wrong but if they just give me an office job or a receptionis one i'll be fine, i just don't want to interact with the collegues
