I'm a full time server at a very busy breakfast/lunch restaurant in a college town. I recently submitted new availability to where I'm unavailable on Sunday and Monday due to personal reasons. My boss laughed and said “I'm not doing that”. I gave her more insight as to why I'm not available these days without being entirely transparent and she went further to say that Mondays are more doable but Sundays aren't. I'm frustrated. I'm giving her 5 days that I can work but apparently that's not good enough and I have to have open availability.
