This is a throwaway in case my work sees this. But ive recently heard the term “quiet firing” and what it is. And I wanna know if thats happening to me?
I work in hospitality in a small kiosk for a small business and theres only 3 us that work there, im part time and their both full time. At first it seemed good, fair hours, close by and good pay. I got along with them in the beginning, but after a while it slowly died down. (Side note: this roughly happened after I mentioned that I had ASD)
They started talking to me less, only having conversations with eachother and everytime I try to join, they just either ignore me or just shrug it off like it wasnt interesting and they would talk to me if it involved doing work chores. I said something about how I felt in the beginning and they felt bad and told the owner, we even discussed and they were respectful and nice.
I thought everything it was fixed after that but now its back to the same thing but with more micromanaging when I already know what im doing. They recently told me theyre hiring another person and said itll be more competitive for hours, but a little part of me thinks itll be my replacement…
Are these signs of quiet firing? Or am I just being paranoid and they just simply dont like me? Its just making me feel like working there is a chore..
