So the company I used to work for fused with another company and out of nowhere my boss wanted me to work in a branch (branch of company they fused with) that's almost an hour drive away from where I live. I used to work in my local branch that's a 5 min walk from my apartment so I can take my dog for a walk during my break.
I was stunned. There was no reason for me to work in this new branch aside from appearances and filling empty offices so it looks good for the visiting customers. Hell, I worked from home from November 21 till May 22 and there wasn't even a reason for me to come back to the office at all…
I immediately started looking for a new job and guess who found an awesome position with a young team and a 1.1k per month pay raise.
I guess my stupid ex-boss did me a favor in the end.
