Started a new job (salary, 40+ hours a week) back in Feb 2022. Everything seemed fine, until life started happening.
April, got pneumonia with Bronchitis. Zero paid sick days, they even deducted time off the clock for doctors visits and the day my boss “sent me home because I looked like death”.
July, submitted for vacation in November for 3 days after seeing over 1/2 the office staff take multiple weeks off during the summer, again told that I “had to be employed for a year to get CONSIDERED for days off”.
Now just this weekend my Aunt dies, my boss says I'm not eligible for berievemt, and I don't get any days off for the funeral. Her suggestion was “Plan it after you get off work”.
Wow. Just. Amazing! I can't wait to stick a 15 foot tailpipe up this company's ass a-la The Mask style.
They just moved my schedule to Tues-Sat, I will be using those Mondays to search for a new job, you bet your ass!
Any ideas on how I can make them feel emotionally as uncomfortable as possible in the mean time?
