I'm a secretary at night for a medical laboratory at a large rural hospital. We have a lab aide but no scientist or technical staff scheduled at nights to run any of the test or work/use any of the equipment. Anyone needing units or blood, critical results for blood work, covid testing, results for medications, etc. will have to wait 5 hours until the next shift arrives but we're a 24 hour hospital. At first I thought it was a scheduling error, so I asked and they informed me that was correct, they have the lab aide and I working so planned it that way.
I have to have this job until I graduate and then I'm planning on leaving. My fingers hurt and when I looked down I realized I was bleeding from chewing them so short. I'm so nervous, there's no way this is going to work.
