A new hire lied about his credentials, and he will still be making more than me even after lies are revealed

So essentially I have a very high level degree, a lot of experience, versatility, and credentials that took a lot of work to get. We are bringing on a new person and he will be making 30k more than me and I will have to train him. He lied about his credentials and was outed by the organization that issues them. Then he admitted it. I thought they’d reduce his salary, and put stipulations in that he has to get his credentials by a certain date in order to get the salary promised under the assumption that he was at the level he claimed to be. I’m a female. He’s a male. I will now have to train someone to do stuff that took me years to master whose making more money than me. What the hell do I do?
