I work for a hospital. In distribution/central supply. Basically we are the ones who order, distribute, and manage the medical supplies that a hospital needs in order to… be a hospital. Our department is small, but if none of us showed up for work, you bet your biscuits that everyone would notice. We’re important and necessary. Everyone in a hospital is!
It was announced that the state is impending a bonus program for hospital workers. It’s like $3000 per person. No chump change. That amount of money would make a huge difference for me and my husband. Guess which department is getting passed over for these bonuses? Ours. Everyone else is getting them and we’re not. I’m pissed. Many angry emails have been sent to HR by basically everyone in our department.
Every job I’ve ever had I’ve been treated as disposable. Worthless. Replaceable. I leave jobs for screwing me over, for not giving me a raise when I deserve one, for giving the bare minimum. It hurts. I’m beginning to feel like every job just sucks.
