For context I work at a hospital overnight, and I'm PRN, which means what I'm not full time and make my own schedule. To keep my job I only have to work 8 days in 8 weeks. I make my schedule a month at a time, always working thurs-sun. I've called out twice in the year I've worked there and I consider myself a good employee.
Recently we have gotten a new supervisor and she literally text me almost every off day asking me to come in. If I reply and say I can't (I've just stopped replying) shell ask me to work half of a shift (they are 12 hours) etc.Sometimes offering double pay. I feel so guilty for turning it down but god its so draining. They know I am a full time student, and working 48 hours a week as it is, is alot for me to handle. I like my job other than that, and covid has made it harder than ever to work at the hospital. Why don't they just hire more people instead of working us like dogs?
