Little backstory: I have worked for a small insurance agency for a year now, there is 3 of us plus my boss that work here. My other 2 coworkers work remotely and take calls from home about 50% of the time, and only come in on specific days.
I tested positive for covid on Saturday. I let everyone know in our group chat and asked what to do, as we have very informal procedures since it's such a small business. My boss has a habit of making selfish decisions at the expense of me and my coworkers time/comfort, but I figured covid would be the exception.
Nope. She is still having me come in. I'm in our office as I write this. I closed off our lobby because I refuse to let customers in and risk their safety as we work with a lot of older folk (not something she asked me to do, she didn't say a word). I am beyond pissed. Both of my coworkers also have covid. We can run our office remotely and do not need to be here to do all our business, so there is no reason to have me here.
I love my job usually and the people I get to help, but this really rubs me the wrong way. I figured this was a good sub to share my shitty job experience. Working for a small business should've been a better experience but I don't even get paid sick leave, just vacation. Yippee.
