My old employer ran a restaurant/retail store/bar that was regularly packed 5 days out of the week, where the cheapest full meal was $15. We had a staff of about 30 people, however only 5 people in the kitchen. He constantly claimed that he couldn't afford to pay living wage, and that he couldn't afford more employees either. Should I believe that? This was in Austin mind you.
