My friend called me today and started ranting to me about her job. To sum it all up, she was getting paid below minimum wage and under the table (despite her boss promising her $9/hr for being manager of her store), and was the target of constant harassment from her boss. To make it even better, her former job was a front for one of those awful MLM scams, and she finally realized how harmful their products and “lifestyles” are.
I'm super proud of her and her decision. This was her first job so she was bound to make some mistakes along the way. I'm just happy she stood up and decided she wasn't going to take this any longer.
