Work again today announced mandatory overtime. Not doing it, my life, and family, will not allow that sacrifice. Boss told me no problem, but he will have no choice but to follow the normal attendance policy and give me “points” for the time I miss. Technically, per the employee handbook 8 points is termination. But, despite the company having a no-fault attendance policy, there are people out there with more that 60 points, and a TON of people with more than 30 points. I want to show them the law that says it would be illegal for them to fire me for cause, unless that same cause is applied equally to everyone.
