Correction in the title I meant “this whole thing is a lie” but I don't know how to change a title.
This is the interview in question. This is my SO (significant others) agency for 911 dispatch. The only truthful part of this interview is the CAD (computer aided dispatch) way of prioritizing calls. That's it!!!
Before these 12 hour shifts your people had more time off. You are working your dispatchers to death and I'm watching my SO being worked into the ground. They now work 4 days of 12 hr shifts in a row with just 2 off days. Just 2. When they were on 8 hr shifts working 5 days a week even with just 2 off days then, they had more time off. Even when working those 8 hr shifts and they had to work 12-19 mandatory 4 hour segments a month they still had more time off. Now they work 12 hr shifts and STILL can be mandated to work mandatory 4 hours over. Which means they will work 16 hr shifts and will still be expected to be there for their regularly scheduled 12 hr shift.
Is this a joke to you?? Are your employees lives a joke to you?? Are they?? Because for the last 16 months it has been forced mandatory and no sleep. I haven't seen my SO longer then the week COVID swept through your dispatch center and 12 or 13 employees got it, my SO included. Which they gave to me, which I could have given to my sick mother. Had she died I would be suing you.
The storm is coming. And I hope you're prepared.
