My invoices have been coming in so late. They are supposed to be paid within 15 days and none of them have been paid in a timely manner. I’m the youngest employee by about 15 years so I think my colleagues are forgetting how hard it it to be 22. Now I’m being flown out across the country for work on Tuesday, but I literally have $4. I have bills to pay that I can’t let go unpaid because I can’t afford late fees. So my entire last invoice had to go to that and I should’ve been paid again in time for this trip but I wasn’t. Yes, my employer is covering most expenses but what about like a bottle of water in the airport or a coffee before our meetings. It’s so embarrassing to be traveling to meet my CEO and I quite literally have $4 to my name.
