Imma keep this brief, and just state the many reasons why I quit on the spot, no 2 weeks notice required.
1, management, I’d say 3 of the 4 managers i’m okay with. It’s the one kitchen manager, who I’m always stuck working with, that’s a pain in the ass. We always have 1 ToGo Spec working at nights, and it can get very hectic taking DoorDash and GrubHub orders, at the same time taking call-in orders. This specific manager not only is zero help when ToGo gets slammed, but has the audacity to ask me to do things that SERVERS are supposed to be doing. I don’t mind helping out and being a “team player”, but if it ain’t in my job description, I’m not doing it.
2, work scheduling. This was my primary job, and my manager had the nerve to only schedule me 24 hrs of the week (I thankfully had a 2nd serving gig in the morning). But, effective immediately, as of today’s sit down with said manager, I’m supposedly not allowed to leave at my scheduled time, and am expected to close every night shift, which is 1 AM, 2AM on the weekends. This wasn’t brought up during the hiring process, and REALLY conflicted w/ my day job.
3, overall attitude. This man did not know how to speak to me at all. I might be a lil old-school but I grew up in a house that gave very much “You give respect to earn respect,” I don’t care if you’re the owner or Beyonce, if you speak to me crazy I’m gonna return that same energy back to the sender
tl;dr: TGI Friday’s fucking sucks and I want nothing more but to see that place burn down to the ground
