Incident at work, please help

Hello everyone. Before I get into the main point, I need to provide some details. New here btw so tell me if I’m doing anything wrong post wise. I currently work for a restaurant who’s primary dish’s are based around wings (fried chicken). I’ve been with them for almost a couple of months now and it’s been good for the most part. The only issue I have been having is in regards to my IBS. IBS stands for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and it can cause waves of extreme crippling nausea and general cramps/stomach pain that’s slightly not as bad. However, as I’m sure you can imagine, working around raw chicken can be troublesome. I haven’t had any issues at work from it until today.

I vomited at work and told my manager, in which he was going to send me home early due to health regulations.

This wouldn’t have been a big deal at all, until one of my coworkers chimes in “go get another job if you can’t handle this one”. I tried explaining that I can’t really help it and will feel this way anywhere I go, to which he says “not our problem”. I was simply flabbergasted. I made sure this company was aware of my condition during my interview and even brought in doctors notes and medical records to prove I’m not just looking for special treatment.

I already struggle so much mentally just to even get out of bed in the morning, it’s way harder to even find a job especially to get up and go in the morning(because of my condition). Are they allowed to talk to me this way regarding my IBS? The manager didn’t even say a word, I tried asking him to say something, so he says “he’s got a point”.

Any help is greatly appreciated. What’s my move here?
