I was making a comment in another sub when I realized the overall expected life of an American is so fucking sad.
You are expected to graduate school and spend your entire life revolving around your job. Go find someone who wants work done that will make them money, and they will pay you a tiny crumb of what they make. You must ask your boss for permission to be able to take time off from work, to be able to go and do something you actually want to do. And they aren’t even legally required to give you any time away from your job ! I mean let’s go crazy and say you get a week off each month. That’s only 12 weeks a year. One year of your life, and 12 out of the 52 weeks are spent trying to make money. And who here gets 1 week off a month? Mmhm that’s what I thought. I mean how many weeks do you get off a year? 2 ? 2 fucking weeks a year to actually go live your life. The American life is full of so much fucking shit you really don’t want to do but are forced to by essentially the goverment because they are the ones who said you need money to buy things. I can’t help but feel so sorry for anyone who lived their life working for a job to only die one day. Their entire life, spent to make someone else more money. How do people not realize they are wasting their life’s paying rent, making people richer just because they had the money to buy the building. How are there not riots demanding change? How are people ok living like this?
