I wasn't happy washing dishes, so I found a new job. I had a bad taste in my mouth about this position during hiring, because my manager was required to get my signature on a document stating that I could not have my phone on my person inside of the restaurant, and if I did, I would be fired. The benefits at my new job are better, with medical, dental, and vision offered to both full-time and part-time employees, as well as tuition assistance. My quitting was a kind and respectful exchange of two messages between me and my manager, until I received this. I absolutely will NOT be asking Mr Darby for permission to go back to his restaurant. I won't give him another dollar.
