Been with this company 7 years, had good managers, had bad managers. Got a new guy recently who of course sees this promotion as some sort of sign that he's god-kissed and can do no wrong. Immediately starts shitting on the previous guy, who was pretty well-liked and was moved against his will. All of a sudden nobody is properly trained, nobody knows the right way to do anything. He's our savior.
Got talked down to for the last time today. I had heard enough. The job market is still hot as hell, I've been juggling different options for weeks now, and a few of the things I've been looking at, fully qualified for and ready to step in to immediately, offer a literal life-changing boost in pay.
This idiot is about to lose one of the most experienced and effective people he has on his roster, and it's entirely his own fault.
