Burnt Out Due to Coworkers Quitting

The last week and a half has been absolute hell because people keep constantly quitting at my restaurant job. The job has so much potential for being a lucrative and fun place to work, but in the short term people aren't receiving the compensation they deserve so they bail. The last week and a half has been absolute hell because people keep constantly quitting at my restaurant job. The job has so much potential for being a lucrative and fun place to work, but in the short term people aren't receiving the compensation they deserve so they bail.

I've been wanting to stick it out til things get better, but its started a chain reaction where people quit, the remaining employees have to work harder, then they prepare to leave. I want to remain until things get better but my life has become a living hell working 6 days a week doing a job that's understaffed by 2-3 positions and receiving no extra compensation and workers who dont want to help out because they dont want to pick up any slack, and have every right to feel that way, but put more stress on me.

The worst part is, I'm taking it out on the other working class people I serve, Uber drivers, customers dealing with inflation, etc. just continuing the cycle of negativity. Should I just leave and continue the cycle or is there a better way to go about this?
