So I work for a certain mouse centric company in a certain alligator infested southern state. This company, is hurting with turn over and short staffing issues in multiple departments.
My partner just had their interview for any job that was available, within the same company, that was entry level.
The interviewer proceeded to disregard ALL of my partners relevant experience and made assumptions about both their physical and mental capabilities for multiple positions, literally telling him that he can’t do the jobs he’s already done before.
And it wasn’t like my partner was disrespectful or dismissive in any way, it LITERALLY came out of left field. He has another chance to go through their evaluation process and POSSIBLY have a chance at one position so we will see how that goes.
So has anyone had any experiences and advice for companies that desperately needs new hires, make you beg, plead, and attach unwarranted skepticism in order to just get a starting position?
