Rural Wisconsin, USA. Deep red town and area. All you here is “no one wants to work” and “this generation is so lazy.” Help wanted signs everywhere and sign on bonuses, longevity bonuses and show up everyday on time bonuses.
So here I am, never no-call no-show. Never been written up. Employee of the month 6 out of 12 months last year and been at the same 9-5 for 12 years with a solid job history. Looking for an overnight shift job to save up extra money.
Three interviews for work that a robot could do. I tell em all sounds good can start right away. I get flipping emails telling me I'm not a good fit. Not even a phone call. All factory work, and one of em couldn't even tell me the starting wage but had the power to offer me a job!? What the heck!? Is it because I am still working? Is it because I bust my ass and show up to my career job? Am I too ready to work and too ready to show up for these assholes? I'm not even looking for benefits. These jerks need to decide if they want work or not.
