Does anyone feel like the expectations of workers is incredibly high from bosses who can’t fulfill their own basic job functions?

I’m okay with being a regular worker, not a super worker because you cannot fulfill your responsibility to hire more people? My workload increases constantly — I can’t take it anymore. Why won’t more (non-profit and for-profit) employers scale back before they work the few remaining people to death?
