So as the title reads, I am being scheduled for my days off; not vacation days, the days every week i’m not supposed to go in. Now granted, we are SEVERELY understaffed, but in the the last three weeks, I’ve only had three days off, and it’s looking like this week may see me working 6/7 days yet again. I’m tired of our GM’s poor staffing abilities reflecting on me, especially when all of the workers who have been here much longer than me see their schedule kept the same. This place is like a big ponzi scheme because of the high turnover rate with new hires and the repetitive grunt work they’re told to do so the longer-tenured employees stay happy. All in all, how do I let my employer know I should not be scheduled/won’t come in on my days off (that he approved)? I’m working days and hours I’ve personally discussed with him that he is going back on.
