Here we go with another contract role

Just got the “good” news today that I'm hired at a relatively prestigious firm, but once again through a recruiter. Normally news of a new job would be cause for celebration, but I'm so incredibly tired of this. I've bounced around between temp “to hire” roles for the last decade, and it's always the same story, with contract firms offering piss-poor “Benefits”, no PTO, no sick leave save for state mandated. And when the year is up, it'll be the same “oops, we don't have the budget, thanks for all your hard work” and I'll get my stuff in the mail in a week or two. I'm utterly exhausted guys. I can't even muster up the hope that I used to, the delusion I share with an abuse victim of, “maybe this one will be different”.
