Anti-work songs in Indian Cinema

Back in the 1970s when most of India was still stratified only by the upper class and the working class, Bollywood or mainstream Hindi cinema often made songs with working-class heroes. In this song from the movie Haathi mere Saathi, the protagonist is introduced with this song which goes “If you want to stay in this world, you need to work love, Otherwise, the world will not let you live, will not let you eat, will not let you drink.” The movie is about a man who works in a street show with elephants. It's unfortunate that such movies aren't made anymore and most songs today are only about love or upbeat numbers intended to titillate audiences.
