It has been brought to my attention by the mice living in my sock drawer that employers now are looking for volunteers. I sat there in disbelief, mouth agape, expired cheeto dust covering my face, wondering what kind of tomfoolery is afoot?!
Ladies and gentlemen, TIME is your greatest asset. This is why, when we trade our time, we get MONEY in return. Time is the only asset we as humans have that is of any actual value. We also do not have much of it, so why in the world would you give your time away for free like some unkemp time slut?!
There are TWO, count them, 1 2, instances where you give away your time for free:
- doing mission/charity work
indentured servitudeunpaid/paid internships for STUDENTS.
All other instances better produce some sort of barter or monetary gain.
Obviously, employers are going to resort to all manner of tactics to guilt people into giving up their time for free. COVID has shown us the truth, and the truth is: we are seriously undervaluing our time.
