no chairs without a doctor’s note

I work at a new factory, a lot of the rules and norms are being formed still. Recently, it came up that the operators can't gave chairs… we work 12 hour days at machines we can't easily leave because they break down or otherwise fuck up constantly. Pay and benefits are really good here but there are still lots of issues. I'm a quality tech and have a chair, office people have chairs, operators who do the most work do not. It's ridiculous. I'm trying to fight it but would like some help to justify the need to my higher ups outside of it being unfair bullshit propagating the lie that we aren't earning our wages unless we're exhausted and hurting at the end of thr day.
