I have been working at a tech company for about 1 year. I was negotiating a raise for my current role when I was offered an additional role in the company for 20% more money for working in both capacities. I signed the contract. A couple months later I was sent another contract for my original role that was 30% more money.
I'm not sure what's going on but I also signed that one. I think maybe my original boss was able to get a raise approved and there wasn't communication between the departments?
Anyway I guess I should have waited a bit longer and I would have had a 30% raise for the same responsibility?
Can they backtrack on the second most recent contract?
