I know i'm getting fucked over by the company and my fellow coworkers. I haven't seen a pay raise in two years despite the company doubling fees on labor and materials. The coworkers now feign ignorance when work gets challenging. The one coworker is a hardcore political baiter that nothing better to do. I have another coworker that has gotten drunk and verbally abusive at company parties off site, so much so that I haven't attended a company function in three years. I have zero desire to because of this and a new found respect for my time after hours.
I work in a field that deals in critical safety issues and my coworkers just pencil whip stuff. I'm not saying my shit doesn't stink, but this is now getting really fucking old. I get it when employees are mad at the company, but fucking fellow workers and the clients that are paying good money for what we do, i'll never understand. I was at a site last week and I walked by a safety system that was in a critical state of fucked and yet it was passed two months ago by a coworker. The only thing I could do was walk on to the one I was called to look at, fix it and bounce.
I now find myself looking for the exit for a lot of reasons. I have no idea what is next. I'll miss my customers, the sense of pride in quality work, but that's it. The company is greedy and some of the coworkers are trash. I suspect at some point one of them will end up killing people and causing a lot of property damage.
