I'm not sure if this is the right group, but figure you all are a good place to start.
My son is 16 and works for a small pizza company as a delivery person. We live in NH USA for context.
The owners are leaving on vacation in a few days and won't be back until the 30th. My son told me today that he won't get his paycheck for this week until they get back on the 30th.
This feels wrong on a number of levels. Looking for some advice. He likes his job, but I have a hard time with his employer not paying her employees in a timely manner. If nothing else it's irresponsible and unprofessional.
I try very hard to avoid getting involved in my son or my wife's professional lives, but I want to arm him with facts.
Any place I can look to see if this is legal? I'm not exactly sure how to research this since it is “just vacation”
