So my boss yesterday kept me 20 minutes past my scheduled time to leave (I had warned him I needed to leave at the exact time my shift was done because I had an appointment ) he said it would be “just a minute just a minute”. Instead of 4:30 left 4:50. I had a meeting for a client at 4:45 (the place I was going to meet her was 10 minutes from here) so if I left at the time exact 4:30 I would’ve made it on time. She said she could no longer meet because I was going to be there at 5 and she was in a rush (she had explained this to me very explicitly) I was going to do a mini photoshoot for her (I do photography) part time and it was going to be $150. Since I couldn’t make it she said we’d reschedule but she’s going on vacation and won’t be back for a few weeks.
I was so pissed at him, he doesn’t pay me overtime. It’s salary 40 hours that’s it. So basically it was “on me” I decided I was going to come in 20 minutes LATER today since he won’t pay me for the 20 minutes yesterday I was going to take it out of today. This man had the audacity to text me “did you oversleep?” I was like “?” He said “it’s almost 9 and you’re not here” I just replied “I’m crossing the train tracks” but I was going to wait in person to say “you didn’t seem bothered by the 20 minutes yesterday” I haven’t seen him today yet but when I do and I know he’s going to complain about me coming in late I’m going to let him know how he cost me $150 due to his arrogance because EVERYTHING has to be done HIS way. You can’t do anything any other way it always has to be his way. He’s not struggling financially but my husband and I are, and $150 was going to be a huge blessing for us this week. He’s going on a 3 week long vacation the week after next week and he’s going to bitch at me for 20 minutes??? I can’t wait to leave this job but I can’t yet
(EDIT: for context I’m his secretary he’s a surgeon, so he thinks that the world revolves around him because there’s few of him in our area. He throws fits when things don’t go his way, literally like a child)
