I used my (10) PTO days for 2022. I found out recently that my mother got an opening for a surgery that she has been waiting on, which is two months from today. I requested 5 days off to be there for it and the healing process as it is only the two of us. The first procedure is second week of the month and then second procedure two weeks later, so two days off one week and three the other. I got denied the time off. I was given the ultimatum of either show up or else.
They then asked me to voluntarily resign the day before I requested off instead of firing me. What options do I have? Thanks.
