THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN.
I applied on Monday and got a call immediately asking to come into an interview. I thought it went badly but today I found out I got the job.
MY FIRST SHIFT WAS YESTERDAY AND I ONLY GOT THE EMAIL SAYING SO THIS AFTERNOON.
I wasn’t called by my manager or anything on Wednesday or Thursday morning. The emails sent out are automated.
So I opened my emails this afternoon and see this fact, then I call absolutely frantic apologising saying I had no idea, and that I only just got the email. Then I was told “yeah well don’t bother coming anymore, that’s no our problem.”
Yes it is?! It was somebody’s job to make sure I got contacted on time.
I’m really worrying now because I need a job and that was the most convenient place I could’ve been. Turns out I couldn’t work there anyway, I don’t have one of the documents they’re asking for.
