Coming from a recruitment perspective, worked in agency 14 years, then went into sales.
Decided to go into RPO and initially all was good
I know recruiters etc get bad press and especially 3rd party RPOs but tbh the volume of work you have is ridiculous
Was working 65+ positions per month expected to fill 2-3 per week in my previous roles in agency if you filled 5-10 per month you were a legend, before I resigned I had 20 positions filled
Eventually decided enough was enough gave my notice to my mangers manger as I was working Saturday and Sunday trying to keep up
Was only then that it was mentioned I was working at 187% of capacity and should not have been doing that, well why was I working at that level the past six months
But too late fuck it have my resignation I'm done
All I am trying to say recruiter get bad publicity and some of it is justified but a lot of it is unwarranted
Currently chilling out taking some time out, getting drunk and stoned and deciding on my next move either go back to sales or back into recruitment and work for myself and do the job properly
